…we’ll be adding “Box Cutter Safety 101” to our apprentice curriculum. Lol, I think everyone in this trade has sliced them selves pretty good, my worst one was on the base of my thumb.

But you got to hassle your apprentice a little bit when they slice themselves opening a water heater box!

One of the most preventable plumbing repairs… Take your Dang hose off people!

Your “frost-free” hose bib is pretty much guaranteed to freeze and break if you leave the hose on in freezing weather.

When we do our trenchless excavations, we often have to leave a 8’ deep hole over night. We put up all the proper precautions, but I can’t help but still stress that some drunk guys going to climb over the barricades and fall in at 2am!

I guess that’s one way to do it! Ran across this today while inspecting a rental property.

It was a 1960s home so at one point it was a three handle valve and this was probably someone’s attempt to change it out to a single handle.

Not sure if this was someone’s solution or if this was a plumber thinking outside of the box trying to prevent water damage temporarily until they could fix the surround, who knows!
