That day of the week - OB visit.

So far, not much progress in the cervix compared to last week. It’s ripening but not dilated and doctor was so reassuring that I got a roomy pelvis so I’ll be fine with vag*nal delivery. Hopefully she’ll naturally want to come out because no one wants to be induced.

Went for a hike today. I requested for an easy hike as the 9 months pregnant me easily feels back pains so we went to Liberty Creek Trail. We wanted to take photos on the small bridge but took a wrong turn. Fortunately, the bridge was not far from the other trail that we took.

Here are some snaps from the trail. Will we go for a hike next week? Probably, as long as the baby is not out yet. 😉

Down to the last things we need before giving birth!! I am excited and nervous. We are so close to meeting her. I’ve been preparing myself physically and mentally for the last process of the pregnancy journey which is giving birth. Praying for a safe delivery for both me and the baby when that time comes.

Tonight, my husband and I talked about what he and I hoped the baby’s gender was when we first found out we are pregnant. He said he first wanted a boy because in his side of the family, girls are more dominant but he never hated to have a baby girl. He was also convinced by some people he knows that having a girl is easier than having a boy. Either way, he would love him/her the same way

I, on the other hand secretly hoped for a boy not because I hate to have a baby girl but because with a boy, we just have to show him how to treat girls nicely and how to be a gentleman. A girl would mean that we would have to be overprotective of her. I’ve read so many things about young kids getting r***d by bad men, well not just any man, a lot of them are just the kid’s relatives which makes it even worse. It scares me but I only hoped that our daughter will be surrounded with true gentlemen.

Knowing that she’s a girl, I am really happy because I will have a tiny me that I can tell stuff about and will help me bully her Dad. 🤪 Kidding aside, her Dad and I will do our very best to protect her from this sometimes harsh and chaotic world.
