Marilou earned a Degree in Business Management from Whitworth University. A first class education, combined with over 30 years of owning income properties and over 40 years of buying and selling her personal residences, has provided her with a solid grounding of work in the field. Believing that she is to give back to the community she lives in, she volunteers her services to several organizations. She has been a volunteer member of the Spokane Police Advisory Committee for over ten years. She is also a member of the Filipino-American Association of the Inland Empire since its inception over twenty-five years ago, and was a former president and board member. Marilou taught Philippine Folk Dancing for the organization and also speaks Tagalog and Ilocano. Marilou was a producer/director for over ten years with AT&T Television Community Productions; her projects included the show Spokane Cares. She was a Fundraiser for ten years for a non-profit organization, Daybreak, that treats young adults with alcohol and drug abuse disease.
