As firefighters continue responding to the Spokane Area Fires, here are several official resources to help you stay informed:

SPOKANE WILDFIRE UPDATE

Firefighters continue battling multiple wildfires across Spokane County as evacuation orders remain in effect for the Old Trails, Fairview, and Autumn Fires. Residents in Level 3 evacuation areas should leave immediately, while those in Level 2 evacuation areas should be prepared to leave on short notice. Evacuation zones continue to change, so residents are encouraged to check Spokane911.com for the latest maps and official information.

The American Red Cross has opened an additional evacuation shelter at the Spokane Convention Center. Shelters also remain open at Spokane Falls Community College's Small Gym and Northwood Middle School. Small animals can be taken to the Spokane County Fairgrounds.

In addition, Avista has implemented a Public Safety Power Shutoff, leaving approximately 43,000 customers without electricity from near Airway Heights north through Suncrest and Loon Lake. The shutoffs are intended to reduce the risk of additional wildfire starts during dangerous fire weather conditions.

Stay safe, monitor official alerts, and check on friends, family, and neighbors who may be affected.
