Wednesdays in the Word 🌟

Isaiah was writing to people in exile, people who felt defeated, forgotten, and physically/emotionally spent. They were waiting for a rescue that felt like it was never coming.

But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. - Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah outlines three levels of human endurance, all powered by God:

✨Soaring: When you have clarity, vision, and grace to rise above the current storm.
✨Running: When you have the energy to pursue your goals, your work, and your calling without burnout.
✨Walking: This is the most profound part. The mundane, long-haul daily tasks. God promises strength even for the slow, repetitive parts of life.

If you are feeling faint in the middle of a long season, don't just ask for a break, ask for the renewed strength to keep walking.

Testimony Tuesday✨

Raye is an English-born pop star, and she says it’s the Bible — not Instagram — that guides her in life. “I look for answers in a Bible app, not cruising Instagram,” she said during a recent interview.

Raye said being off social media — and away from the constant commentary on her — has helped her throughout life.

“I think since I’ve come offline, it’s been much better; ignorance is bliss,” she said. “If someone said I look awful in a dress, it’d make me sad. If I don’t know someone said I look awful in a dress … so I’m really big on being offline.”

The pop singer, who was raised in a Christian home, has credited her faith with keeping her alive. "There’s a lot of demons trying to claw at you and drag you to somewhere you don’t belong, so I’m really grateful I have this faith. It’s honestly pulled me out of a really dark place," she said.

Be encouraged by Raye's testimony that the best answers to life's questions aren't found online, but in God's Word.

Motivational Monday ✨

We live in a world that is constantly competing for our attention. Every app on our phone is designed to hook us, every advertisement wants our money, and our daily schedules demand our energy. Because our focus is split in a million different directions, it’s easy to live a life that feels entirely fragmented. We end up giving a little bit of ourselves to everything, but our full selves to nothing.

But true fulfillment doesn't come from a divided heart; it comes from finding something...Someone...worth giving our absolute all to.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." - Deuteronomy 6:5

This verse is the core of what is known as the Shema, one of the most important passages in the entire Bible. It doesn’t ask for a casual, part-time relationship with God; it calls for a total, all-in kind of love. Loving God with all your heart means aligning your desires and emotions with His. Loving Him with all your soul means anchoring your identity in who He says you are. And loving Him with all your strength means physically putting that love into action through your daily choices, hard work, and how you treat the people around you.

It’s a reminder that our faith isn't meant to be a separate compartment of our life; it is meant to be the fuel for all of our life.

This week, go all in. Pick one area of your day, whether it’s how you handle a tough task at work or how you engage with your family, and bring your full heart, soul, and strength into it.

Wednesdays in the Word 🌟

Paul is writing to Timothy, a young pastor, about how to lead people who are tempted by the flashy, status-driven culture of Ephesus. Notice that Paul doesn't say "money is the root of evil." Money is just a tool, it's amoral. The love of money is the issue. It’s a heart-level addiction where money stops being a resource for doing good and starts being the source of your security and identity.

This verse warns that the craving itself creates the misery. If you are craving money, you are by definition not satisfied. You are chasing a horizon that never gets closer. Real value is found in God’s provision, not in the balance of your savings account.

The cure for the love of money is gratitude and generosity. You can’t be generous and greedy at the same time. When you intentionally give away what you have, you break the power that money has over you. Giving is the act that breaks the craving cycle.

Testimony Tuesday✨

Scott-Vincent Borba is a makeup mogul who founded e.l.f. (which stands for Eyes. Lips. Face.) Cosmetics in 2004. He grew the company to an annual revenue of over $1.3 billion which earned him a position among Hollywood celebrities. But more recently, he sold his possessions and donated his wealth. Now, he just became an ordained priest on May 23 in Visalia by the Diocese of Fresno.

"I was living for myself. I was idolizing myself. I was idolizing everything else out there that was luxury," he said. Borba now lives a modest lifestyle after selling his wealth and possessions, which he described as a way to give himself back to God.

"I am trying to do everything to show our Lord that He gave me everything in His divine providence. He has taken care of me all my life, and now I am to give it all back and to show Him that He is going to take care of me the rest of my life, whatever it's going to be," he shared. And when asked about how he's adjusted to this new lifestyle he said, "I have never been happier."

Be encouraged by Borba's testimony that true happiness isn't found in wealth or material things, but in the presence of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
