đĽ If you know, you know! is one spot that has flawless ex*****on every time. Itâs on our list of the best restaurants in Spokane for Trending Northwest Restaurant Month for the second year in a row (thanks to sponsors !).
Chef and owner Jon Green took a leap of faith opening his restaurant during the âdoomedâ year of 2020 â and Spokane is so glad he did. That gamble paid off in spades: Wooden City quickly became a community favorite and now regularly tops lists of the best restaurants in Spokane, Washington.
From the moment you walk through the doors, youâre greeted by the glow of a blue-tiled, wood-fired oven, turning out neo-Neapolitan pizzas that smell like pure comfort. The space itself feels vibrant yet inviting, whether youâre perched at the bar, tucked into a cozy booth, or relaxing on the mezzanine. Combine that with some of the most exceptional service in the city, and youâve got a surefire spot for a memorable meal.
The menu reads like a love letter to American classics â but with an upscale twist. Think croutons fried to order on the Caesar salad, one of Spokaneâs best burgers (with a house-made veggie patty option thatâs just as crave-worthy), and Hungarian peppers so popular they often sell out. Greenâs attention to detail is everywhere: house-made pizza and pasta doughs, seasonal updates, and a service team that treats every guest like a regular.
What to order:
Salmon Toast â Beet relish, egg mousse, pickled red onion, whipped crème fraĂŽche, and fresh dill.
Beet Ravioli â Goat cheese, chive cream, fresh basil, endive, lemon & caper butter sauce.
Blistered Hungarian Peppers â Sweet sausage, aged cheddar, chive oil, and toasted ciabatta.
Tell them I sent you when you go â and definitely save room for a pizza from that gorgeous oven. đ⨠AD
