Willow Springs Books Willow Springs Books is a literary press housed within the Inland Northwest Center for Writers. WSB publishes the Spokane Prize for Short Fiction.

Willow Springs Editions is a small literary press housed in Eastern Washington University’s Inland Northwest Center for Writers, in Spokane. The staff of Willow Springs Editions is comprised mostly of creative writing MFA students under the direction of poet Christopher Howell. As part of an internship for which they receive graduate credit, students gets hands-on experience in every phase of the

publishing process, from acquisitions to editing, design, promotions and marketing. Willow Springs Editions staff administers the annual Spokane Prize for Fiction competition. It also publishes each year one chapbook of poetry written in the surrealist manner.

Submissions for the Spokane Prize in Short Fiction are now open! From now until May 15th, the submission fee is ONLY $20 ($10 DISCOUNT). Submissions will be open through November. You must submit a manuscript of short stories with a minimum of 100 pages (a novella alongside at least two short stories will also be accepted).
