I know these past 2 weeks I have been MIA & the reason for that is because my social media presence made it's way to my current employer and previous employers 😅

At first, I was taken back & nervous - then I decided I am a nurse who isn't alone in the way I feel about healthcare. I have friends and strangers on all platforms relating to my story & I decided I may only be one nurse - but I AM A LOUD ONE 📣

So, I am back & I refuse to allow anyone to silence my voice & the voice of those who feel they can't speak up. Join me as we move forward over this speed bump, & remember stand for what is right, even if it means standing alone!

No pressure bag in sight? 😱

No worries, take the blood pressure cuff and manually inflate. You can control the drip rate on this one by inflating more or deflating to your liking 💁‍♀️

As a traveling nurse, I have seen some facilities not utilize pressure bags and have minimum pumps on the unit, yet we are still expected to follow out the orders despite a lack of resources - know the tools you have at hand baby to protect yourself! 😉

I am so thankful it is Friday & is my true Friday 😅 Nursing is an odd profession, I said to a patient "I worked the last 3 nights, but sadly only have 2 nights off before coming back." They said "Most people only get 2 days off...."

Tell me what made you want to join the healthcare field? My story is ⤵️

I used to job hop every 6 months - I started out doing hair(2012), then worked at CFA (2012), AT&T(2013), Geico(2013), tried my own cleaning business(2014), Hampton Inn(2014), & finally started as a MA in a Gastro/Rheumatology office(2014).

In 2015, I decided that I was capable & smart enough to go to school for nursing. I got a job at my local hospital as a receptionist, then PCT, MT, Nurse Extern while in nursing school. I sadly never had a RN badge for the first ever hospital I worked at - but I pray that changes soon 😉
