It was great to be with Visit Spokane this week as they celebrated of 50 years of positive impact in our region! Thankful for organizations like this helping to bring over a $1 BILLION in economic impact. Wow!

I see a lot of local leaders decrying this case for being politically motivated. But it’s important to remember that this verdict did not come from a politician or government agency. It came from a jury of their peers after hearing the evidence presented in court.

Just because you don’t like the outcome doesn’t mean it’s fascism.

Now, peacefully protesting is a right recognized by the constitution and should be protected. But, impeding law enforcement from fulfilling their lawful duty is not protected protest, it’s criminality.

Don’t do that.

Good news out of Washington.

Christian foster parents just won a major First Amendment settlement against DCYF.

The state should be finding safe, loving homes for kids, not screening out families because they hold traditional Christian beliefs.

And it’s not even that it’s “Christian” beliefs. Reaffirming the binary gender system is the only acceptable scientific position for anyone who is seeking objective truth.

Foster children need good families. We should be opening doors for those families, not closing them.

That’s a win worth celebrating.

We should be fighting to KEEP and GROW world class employers here, not driving them away with endless taxes, hostility toward employers, and policies that make it harder to create jobs.

Washington has incredible people, talent, and opportunity. But if we want the next generation to thrive, we need to get serious about taxes, public safety, and creating a business climate where companies want to stay and invest.

Thank you to Dr. Wendy Liddell and the incredible students and staff at Great Northern University for the warm hospitality and wonderful tour today. It’s encouraging to see a strong Christian university investing in the next generation and preparing young people for the future with both faith and excellence. Love what they’re building here.
