1962: Mr. Morgan Murphy purchases KXLY-TV and KXLY AM/FM.

1964: Construction begins on the current broadcast facility on 500 West Boone Avenue.

1968: KXLY-TV transmits local color programming to its viewers.

1974: KXLY-TV becomes the first station in the nation to utilize mobile electronic news gathering during the Expo 74 World's Fair.

1986: KXLY -TV becomes the first Eastern Washington television station to transmit stereo audio programming.

1992: KXLY ABC 4 establishes a full-time Coeur d'Alene North Idaho Newsroom, moving into the former Wells Fargo bank building on Sherman Avenue.

1999: KXLY ABC 4 becomes the first television station in the Pacific Northwest to broadcast full-coverage HDTV signals. Our HD broadcast premiered with Monday Night Football on ABC.

2008: KXLY ABC 4 is the first Spokane station to broadcast local news and weather graphics in High Definition
