Dear Brothers, Sisters, and Friends:
The Global Gender Gap of 2017 published by the World Economic Forum
showed that the Philipines had an overall score of 79.9 percent, ranking No.8
among 144 countries that participated. Four key areas: health, education,
economy and politics were looked at to gauge the state of gender equality
in a country. The higher the score a given country achieved, the smaller was
the gender gap between men and women in that country.The Philippines got
an OVERALL SCORE OF ALMOST 80 PERCENT !

Dear Brothers, Sisters, and Friends,
Staying within your non-immigrant visa status (e.g. doing business deals
if you have a business visa, being enrolled in college if you have a student
visa, or visiting tourist spots or relatives-friends if you have a tourist visa)
and staying within your allowed length of stay) and not engaging in any
activity outside of your visa type is the best way to avoid being caught

The strong values embodied in Catholicism, a part of Christianity, has made Filipinos not only a peace-loving people with very little conflict, but also part of an increasingly propsperous national economy - one of the top 6 fastest-growing ones in the world today. On a purchasing power parity or PPP basis (income versus affordability) Filipinos rank No.122 among 231 countries and territories in the world, putting them in the top 53 percent of the world !

This apparently unexpected finding about nearly 300,000 Filipinos identifying their ethnicity as Hispanic
was revealed in a 45-page study entitled “When Are Filipinos Hispanic?” by Ellwood Carlson.

He is Charles Van Nam professor on the Sociology of Population at the Center for Demography and Population Health
at Florida State University.

We provide below some demographic factors he cites for this finding based on data obtained from the 2012-2016 ACS (American Community Survery of the US Census Bureau.

Dear Brothers, Sisters, and Friends,
I am always concerned about the continued safety, security, healthful living, and prosperity of Filipinos and the Philippines where I spent a good part of my childhood and youth, doing Grade 5 at Butuan Central Elementary School, completing my grade school and high school education at San Sebastian College (a wonderful Catholic Recoletos institution) in Manila, obtaining an AB in Journalism from the University of the Philippines at Diliman, and even doing sone reporting there.

I spent one of the most enlightening and rewarding portions of my life in the Philipines and I love writing for the award-winning Daily Tribune that begain publication only on June 91, 2018, and already won the award "Most Innovative Broadsheet" of the Philippines within just months.

I am sure ALL OF YOU DEAR READERS are concerned about the safety and security of our beloved country Philippines. I hope that some form of
agreement assuring denuclearization by North Korea, lifting of economic sanctions, and even trade with the US and other countries of the world that can benefit North Koreans, can begin, that will help them.
