Zinnia seedling update! 🌺 the seeds I purchased sprouted after just a few days! The seeds I harvested from my own zinnia garden, took a bit longer but they’re sprouting now! Can’t wait for my fall bouquets!💐

My favorite time of year is when the leaves start turning beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow 🥰 the faux florals and greenery held up so well on our porch from spring-summer that I had to go back for more!

Got some garden cleanup done this morning! The raised beds are ready for fall seeds 🙌🏼

The plan so far:
•cantaloupe
•cilantro
•dill
•broccoli
•lemon balm (for bouquets)
•zinnias
•cosmos

Instead of letting these flowers go to waste… harvest the seeds!

Once your zinnias start to turn brown, dead head the flower and allow it to dry out completely. Pull the petals from the center to remove the seeds. If the seeds are white, they’re not viable, but if you see dark green or brown arrow-shaped seeds, re-seed your garden or save in a cool, dry place for the spring.

What are you planting right now? 🌱 I spent a little time out in the garden this morning prepping and seeding my fall zinnias. Isa requested pink flowers, so I ordered pink and salmon zinnia seeds from and sprinkled in some red zinnia seeds harvested from the ones in the raised bed.

I also have apricot lemonade cosmos and strawflowers to seeds still. Pretty excited for our future bouquets! 💐

The kids are back to school! 📓 🎉 my youngest requested his favorite pizza muffins so we whipped up a batch for the week 🫶🏼

🍕 PIZZA MUFFINS 🍕

Here’s how you make them ✨

•choose your bread. I’m using stale Hawaiian rolls, but I also make them with leftover bread crusts too.
•2 eggs
•shredded mozzarella cheese
•Italian seasoning (oregano, parsley, basil)
•garlic powder
•mini or cut up pepperoni

Stir to combine. Spray a muffin tin and scoop in. Bake on 400° for 10-12 minutes. Serve with your favorite marinara sauce.

One thing about Elephant Ears is that they’ll keep reproducing. But I love their big leaves! Relocating some to the backyard and doing a little cleanup in this bed.
