Do you find cucumber plants challenging?

This is the first year I’ve had to baby a cucumber plant this much. Our weather became so hot, humid and with very little rain so fast.

Cucumber plants need plenty of airflow, so regular pruning is necessary to prevent disease and snail hiding spots.

Planted a couple more marigolds (great to deter snails from other plants) and Torenia.

I’m constantly learning and trying different things in the garden. Snails are such an issue so I decided to test out some copper mesh around the zinnias and cucumber plants to see if it will help.

What do you think? Will it work?

When it rains, it pours here and the mulch was washing out every time. I installed these recycled rubber landscape edgers and it solved the problem for under $5 a piece 👏🏼 I will 🔗 them in the comments

Marigolds are the easiest flower to duplicate over and over. If the flower is dried out enough when I dead head, I will pull out the seeds and sprinkle immediately. If not, they go in a jar to finish drying.
