Pumpkin Festival RUMORS – Planning is in Full Swing for October Event

Despite recent rumors circulating on social media, we want to make it absolutely clear: The National Pumpkin Festival is NOT cancelled nor is it in jeopardy. The beloved festival, scheduled for the first weekend in October, remains firmly on the calendar and is shaping up to be one of the biggest and best yet.

The newly formed committee of residents has been hard at work over the past several months, dedicating their time and energy to growing and improving the festival. From expanding the Kids & Family Zone to securing a near-record number of food and craft vendors, the 2025 National Pumpkin Festival is already proving to be something special.

At a recent Town Commissioners meeting, discussion about the festival was briefly tabled—not due to cancellation concerns—but to prioritize other pressing town matters. Additionally, ongoing discussions about the parade route are being addressed in light of potential upcoming water main work, and a solution is actively in the works.

We’re excited about the momentum and community support behind this year’s festival. We encourage everyone to stay engaged, share ideas, or volunteer by reaching out through our official page.
