VERY SAD 💔
Omah Lay will not be releasing any new music or performing for the next three years due to ongoing issues with his label. As an independent artist, he is currently restricted from dropping any songs until that time has passed. It’s been a year since he last released music, and although his album is ready, he wanted to release it independently, which has led to complications. The label is eager to profit from it, but Omah Lay isn’t prepared to move forward under those conditions.

Moral of the story: A three-year hiatus without new music from Omah Lay will be tough for fans 💔.

The Martin Amaewhule-led Rivers State House of Assembly criticised Governor Siminalayi Fubara for inviting them to a crucial meeting via social media.

The meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, aimed to discuss key issues, including the 2025 budget, lawmakers' allowances, and a designated sitting space for the Assembly.

Pro-Wike lawmakers insist they won’t honour the invitation unless it follows due process, while the APC welcomes the dialogue as a step toward resolving the ongoing executive-legislative crisis

How Governor Fubara Outsmarted the Wike Lawmakers

The lawmakers loyal to Nyesom Wike thought they had Governor Siminalayi Fubara cornered. Their plan was simple: push him to the edge, force him to react emotionally, and create a crisis that would justify either his impeachment or a state of emergency in Rivers State. But Fubara outplayed them.

Instead of resisting or lashing out, he took a different approach. He accepted the Supreme Court's ruling without hesitation and even agreed to re-present the budget to the Amaewhule-led House. This was a strategic move that caught his opponents off guard.

Ironically, the same lawmakers who once gave him a strict 48-hour deadline to present the budget are now avoiding it. They assumed he would refuse, but when he complied, they had no counter-strategy. Out of options, they went on recess without setting a return date, exposing their own weakness.

When some people called Fubara weak, they underestimated him. While the Supreme Court ruling seemed to favor Wike’s camp, Fubara turned it into an advantage. By publicly aligning with their demand for compliance, he exposed their insincerity. Now, they don’t want him to present the budget—contradicting their own stance.

Unlike a typical Nigerian governor who might have retaliated aggressively, Fubara has chosen a different path. As the Chief Security Officer of Rivers State, he understands that his primary duty is to maintain peace and protect lives. Instead of escalating tensions, he has gained the people's support and skillfully avoided the political traps set for him.

In the end, Fubara has proven to be a leader who thinks several steps ahead. His calm and calculated approach is not just keeping Rivers State stable—it’s slowly dismantling the power play against him.

The Donald Trump administration is reportedly considering sweeping travel restrictions for citizens of 43 countries as part of a new ban, continuing an immigration crackdown that the US President initiated at the start of his second term in January.

The New York Times reported that an internal memo divides these countries into three separate categories.

The first group (called 'red list') includes 11 countries: Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. Their citizens are proposed to be 'flatly barred' from travelling to the United States.

The second group ('orange list') comprises 10 nations, for which travel would be restricted but not cut off. In their case, affluent business travellers could be allowed to enter the US, but not those on immigrant or tourist visas. This group includes Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan and Turkmenistan.

The third category (yellow list), is the largest of the three with 22 countries, and would have 60 days to clear up perceived deficiencies, with the threat of being moved onto one of the other groups if they did not comply.

It includes Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Congo, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, São Tomé and Príncipe, Vanuatu and Zimbabwe.

A US official who spoke on the condition of anonymity cautioned there could be changes on the list, and it was yet to be approved by the Trump administration, including Marco Rubio, the secretary of state.

DANGEROUS AVARICE: Nigerian Drug Kingpin Joseph Chinedu Okparaejesi Alias Alen Arrested At Airport In Colombia

Colombian authorities in collaboration with the FBI, have arrested a Nigerian national, Joseph Chinedu Okparaejesi, alias Alen, said to be a suspected transnational drug trafficker, at El Dorado International Airport, Bogotá.

Okparaejesi, who had been residing in Colombia for over 12 years, was apprehended upon arrival from São Paulo, Brazil, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 following an intensive investigation led by the Dijín (Colombian police intelligence unit) and the Attorney General’s Office.

The suspect posed as a businessman in the beauty industry but was allegedly coordinating large-scale co***ne shipments to Spain.

Authorities revealed that Okparaejesi financed drug procurement and oversaw operations involving human couriers and specially designed double-bottom suitcases to smuggle narcotics.

His arrest was facilitated by intelligence from a detained drug mule en route to Spain, who disclosed details of the Nigerian’s network. As a result of this breakthrough, 15 other individuals linked to his operations have also been arrested. Investigations indicate that Okparaejesi married a Colombian woman in 2012 at the Nuestra Señora de Fátima parish in Bogotá.

He reportedly ran a business dealing in hair extensions, named “Nigeria African,” located near Ciudad de Cali Avenue. A close associate of the suspect told El Tiempo that the Nigerian rarely left Colombia, traveling to Africa approximately every two years to visit his family.

“The last time we spoke, he told us he was in Ghana,” the associate said. The Colombian National Penitentiary and Prison Institute (INPEC) has confirmed his detention, with charges of drug trafficking, production, and distribution filed against him.
