Join Us for Spring Valley Day 2025!
Monte Vista PTSA will be out in the community on Saturday, April 26th from 10 AM to 3 PM at Bancroft Dr. & Tyler St., between Bancroft Elementary and New Seasons Church. The street will be blocked off between Central Ave and Avocado St.

We’ll be spreading the word about our amazing school, passing out flyers, and connecting with families. Stop by, say hi, and show your Monarch pride!

🚨 MVHS PTSA Meeting Postponed! 🚨

Our March PTSA meeting, originally scheduled for today, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 18 to allow members the opportunity to attend the GUHSD School Board Meeting tonight.

The board is discussing deep staffing cuts that could impact our school and students. Your voice matters!

📍 School Board Meeting Details:

📌 Location: Grossmont High School Old Gym (larger venue!)

⏰ Time: 6:00 PM

🪧 Rally: 5:00 PM (some attendees will bring signs)

🎤 Want to speak? Arrive before 5:00 PM to request a “speaker card.”

Looking for scholarships to help with college expenses? The Cal Coast Cares Foundation is offering up to $2,000 for college-bound seniors!

✅ Open to Cal Coast Credit Union members (or their relatives)
✅ Must be a high school senior in San Diego or Riverside County
✅ Planning to enroll in 12 or more college units

Does your child want to go to college or technical/career training someday? For many families, the decision may come down to how much financial aid will be provided and how much students will need to contribute. It’s never too early to learn about the financial-aid process.

There are a number of ways that students can obtain financial aid. Students should work closely with high-school counselors as well as college financial-aid offices to explore all possibilities for student support for career training, public and private colleges.
