The fallout from SignalGate reveals how small digital exposures—like public Venmo accounts or contact info—can be weaponized by adversaries to compromise security.

Signal is a powerful encrypted messaging app, but it’s not infallible. Learn why it’s great for privacy—yet risky for sensitive or classified communications.

It's bad enough that cabinet members and government officials are taking part in a group chat on Signal, orchestrating the military ex*****on of a single target with 50+ other people killed as collateral damage. But, to further highlight their gross incompetence, it seems that the conversation was not configured to automatically disappear- one of the key features of Signal.

Perhaps it is/was, and they just chose the "4 weeks" option, but it seems like Jeffrey Goldberg would not have been able to access the messages after the fact if they had configured them to disappear after an hour or 5 minutes.

However, an important question to ask is, "If THIS discussion occurred on Signal, what other government communications are occurring on unauthorized consumer platforms and are not being document or archived as part of the official record?"

Officials used Signal to discuss military plans—then blamed the journalist they accidentally included. But the real scandal? A deliberate dodge of public accountability.

If MAGA supporters aren’t simply misinformed or lacking in critical thinking skills, the alternative—that their actions stem from conscious malice—is far more unsettling.

A tough but necessary conversation about accountability and intent.

In 1933, the Reichstag became a powerless institution under Hi**er. It didn’t need to be dissolved—it simply stopped functioning.

Today, the Republican Party is making the same choice. By submitting to Trump, purging dissenters, and refusing to govern, they are turning Congress into a rubber-stamp institution rather than an independent check on power.

N**i Germany needed an Enabling Act to establish totalitarian rule. America may not need one—because if elected officials won’t resist an autocrat and federal judges look the other way, the result is the same.

History Repeats Itself—But With New Names In 1933, Germany’s Reichstag—once the legislative heartbeat of the Weimar Republic—ceased to function as an independent governing body. With the passage of the Enabling Act, Adolf Hi**er assumed unchecked power, and the Reichstag became little more t...

Nearly 50 million Americans voted by mail in 2024. Now, Trump--a man who tried to overturn an election and launched an insurrection to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power--wants control over how—and if—those ballots get delivered in the future.

Seizing the USPS isn’t just unconstitutional; it’s a direct attack on democracy.

Hidden networks are pivotal in sustaining resistance movements.

From the clandestine gatherings of the French Resistance during World War II to modern-day encrypted online communications, these covert systems enable the dissemination of information, coordination of activities, and preservation of cultural identities under repressive regimes.

They serve as lifelines for communities striving to maintain autonomy and resist control.

When dissent is dangerous, underground networks become the lifeline of resistance.

The Impoundment Control Act was born to stop presidential overreach—Nixon’s habit of sidelining Congress on spending decisions led to its creation.

Now DOGE is unilaterally withholding funds, echoing past abuses.

With Congress remaining silent, our representation in government is abdicating its responsibilities, and the checks and balances of democracy are being dismantled.

The Impoundment Control Act of 1974 emerged from a clear need to curb presidential overreach. President Nixon had repeatedly set aside…

The U.S. military is not a monolith—it’s a diverse force sworn to defend the Constitution.

As authoritarian influence grows, tough questions must be asked.

Having served in the military, I know it’s not a monolith. It’s a cross-section of Americans — people who joined for reasons as varied as…

The balance of power is an illusion that we perpetuate. Inequality isn’t natural—it’s engineered.

The 1% thrive on a system rigged in their favor, but their power is a charade. The 99% build, create, and sustain everything.

What happens if we simply stop playing by their rules?

By definition, the 1% only exists because the 99% do. In the United States, the 1% — roughly 3.3 million people — control over 32% of the…

The 1% siphon billions from everyday Americans, then use the money to rig the system to protect their wealth while the rest of us struggle for scraps.

It isn’t just greed—it’s a calculated power grab.

Imagine someone pulled off a magnificent bank heist. They found a way to siphon billions of dollars from doctors, teachers, retail workers…
