Okay, update time.

I've been saying, "This movie WILL be made." I still mean it. But, for now, I'm focusing more on the book series I've been writing and promoting. Don't get me wrong, I still have every intention of making this movie.

For now, the only thing I'm doing is working on funding. Most of what I've done has fallen through. I have a savings account with just over $200 that's dedicated to making one of my movies.

I've recovered everything for all three movies! Turns out, the external hard drive wasn't the problem, it was the port on the computer.

And the rest has been FOUND! I now have a complete shooting script, but not only that, I have budgets (from 2014) as well as shot, set deco, prop, and set/CG lists!

Dammit, this movie WILL be made!

I haven't been able to find a new power supply, but I have BREAKING NEWS: I have found a full copy of the final draft of the writer's (actor's) script and the first third of the shooting script for The 12 Minute Project.

Oh, you'd better believe this movie WILL be made!

Total hold on The 12 Minute Project, Time, and the film version of The Assignment for now. The computer is down, and I have to find a refurbished power supply in order to get all the info back. I have a backup on an external hard drive, but that's going down, too. Shame, because all I need at this point is time and funding.

This is me at home in 2009 talking with someone about the potential for one of the 11 vignettes for The 12 Minute Project before it was incorporated into the movie. The vignette started as a school project in 2007, and along with my short story "Radical Conclusion", inspired the movie. The discussion was very favorable, provided we could find a great CG person. The 5-minute piece is graphics intensive, which was the goal of the school project, but critical to the story.

Okay, here's the deal.

I have scripts for Time, The 12-Minute Project, and the movie version of The Assignment. I also have people willing to help out on them. But I won't have the finances for a while, and crowdfunding went next to nowhere for me. I have *some* funds, but not enough to work with, and I have to keep it to go toward the films as a debt to the contributors.

Between the three films, I have the makings of a real production company. I also have a couple other things I'm working on for later, and I've scouted places I could use as a temporary studio, or possibly a warehouse to buy (but that was half a mil, so I dropped that idea). But I ran into a major problem.

That problem is this: These are MY stories, and I will NOT compromise on them. Hollywood changes the entire story over time without the writer's consent. Legion M looked good, until they revealed their "memberships", which was just a fancy way of saying that everyone is an owner, meaning that a whole bunch of people will change it up. (Their first movie just came out, and I haven't seen it, nor have I seen reviews.)

So, yes, I'm on my own, so far as production is concerned. But I have to find that funding from someone who'll let me do this without trying to insert their ideas into the story. Does anyone have any ideas?
