Salt of the Earth Press began in a sports bar in Bullhead City, Arizona. Two midwives were eating lunch after attending a birth and mapped out an idea on the paper placemat. Alas, their ideas were bigger than their time and energy, and one of them soon abandoned the ideas in favor of sleep and sanity. The other carried on. thern Wisconsin and so much more. Books, educational materials, organic foods, wooden toys, clothes, games and of course, our roots: empowering people to make their own informed choices about birth and death and everything in between. Our editors and other staff commute electronically.
