This will be the last Cryptid of the week due to Christmas Eve tomorrow and Christmas on Friday, but the Cryptid is Ebu Gogo and here is some info on the man/beast⁣
The Nage people of Flores describe the Ebu Gogo as having been able walkers and fast runners around 1.5 m tall. They reportedly had wide and flat noses, broad faces with large mouths and hairy bodies. The females also had "long, pendulous breasts". They were said to have murmured in what was assumed to be their own language and could reportedly repeat what was said to them in a parrot-like fashion.⁣

The legends relating to the Ebu Gogo were traditionally attributed to monkeys, according to the journal Nature.⁣
⁣
An article in New Scientist gives the following account of folklore on Flores surrounding the Ebu Gogo: in the 18th century, villagers gave the Ebu Gogo a gift of palm fiber to make clothes, and once the Ebu Gogo took the fiber into their cave, the villagers threw in a firebrand to set it alight, killing all of the occupants (one pair may have fled into the forest).⁣

The first modern discussion of a sighting of a strange creature in the loch may have been in the 1870s, when D. Mackenzie claimed to have seen something "wriggling and churning up the water". This account was not published until 1934, however. Research indicates that several newspapers did publish items about a creature in the loch well before 1934.⁣
⁣
The best-known article that first attracted a great deal of attention about a creature was published on 2 May 1933 in Inverness Courier, about a large "beast" or "whale-like fish". The article by Alex Campbell, water bailiff for Loch Ness and a part-time journalist,[9] discussed a sighting by Aldie Mackay of an enormous creature with the body of a whale rolling in the water in the loch while she and her husband John were driving on the A82 on 15 April 1933. The word "monster" was reportedly applied for the first time in Campbell's article, although some reports claim that it was coined by editor Evan Barron.⁣

The Courier in 2017 published excerpts from the Campbell article, which had been titled "Strange Spectacle in Loch Ness".⁣

"The creature disported itself, rolling and plunging for fully a minute, its body resembling that of a whale, and the water cascading and churning like a simmering cauldron. Soon, however, it disappeared in a boiling mass of foam. Today's Cryptid is Long Horse, I have really been getting into the Trevor Henderson Mythos, but here is some info about the friendly beast. ⁣

Long Horse was established as a legend when a picture of the creature started spreading over the Internet since 24th August 2018, when a user named Trevor Henderson published a picture showing Long Horse, with the description that the user had a dream of the horse beforehand.⁣

Future on, another picture has been released of the creature by Trevor, where it appears to be in the suburbs, and he named the creature Long Horse. An ancient cave painting has also been found of the Long Horse around three humans, and in the description it is revealed that Long Horse has been around since ancient times. ⁣

Interestingly enough, the ancient drawing depicts that Long Horse is the humans' protector. It is purely harmless, and its goal is to warn humans of upcoming dangers. If a human hears a neck crack or sees the long neck of the creature, the message is that a disaster will occur, not because of Long Horse, but because of what will happen later on.⁣

SCP-682 is an undisputed monster that finds all forms of life, from people to plants, to be so unforgivably unnatural and disgusting that it stops at nothing to kill absolutely everything it sees. 682 is also extremely intelligent and capable of speech, though it rarely converses willingly with staff, and cannot be reasoned with at all. It even has a blasphemous and vulgar streak, referring to SCP-999 as a "feculent little snot wad".⁣

Despite its malevolence, 682 does seem to have a soft spot for SCP-053, a little girl also contained by the foundation. SCP-053 causes all who stay near her for more than ten minutes to spontaneously try and kill her, though they immediately die of a heart attack after their first attempt at harm. On the other hand, SCP-682 becomes docile and calm around 053. So, this allows her to pet him and even draw on his hide with crayons before taking a nap together. SCP-682 immediately goes back to its omnicidal tendencies once SCP-053 was taken away.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
