Get Hooked Outdoors Outdoor Legacy Foundation is being built with one goal in mind: making the outdoors more accessible, more meaningful, and more lasting for the next generation.

This foundation is about more than fishing trips or outdoor events. It is about creating opportunities for individuals, families, and communities to connect with nature, learn outdoor skills, and build lasting memories together.

Here’s what you can expect from us as we grow:
• Outdoor education for youth, families, and beginners
• Conservation-minded projects that help protect and preserve the outdoor spaces we all value
• Community support initiatives focused on access, encouragement, and inclusion
• Programs and partnerships designed to help people experience fishing, camping, and the outdoors in ways they may not otherwise have the chance to
• A legacy-driven mission centered on stewardship, knowledge, and passing outdoor traditions forward

My name is Jeff Sloman, founder of Get Hooked Outdoors (GHO). My passion is helping people connect with fishing, the outdoors, and the traditions that come with it.

Through GHO, I share fishing knowledge, outdoor experiences, and educational content to encourage others—especially youth and families—to spend more time outside and learn about conservation.

I am currently working to establish the GHO Outdoor Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit focused on youth fishing education, outdoor literacy, and expanding access to outdoor experiences.

My goal is simple: help keep the outdoor legacy alive by teaching the next generation the skills, respect, and appreciation that come with fishing and spending time in nature.
