***2 categories again this year! The normal 150 miles or less from Springfield and the 151 miles plus from Springfield. The coveted Carp cup will stay within the 150 miles or less range.

This Thursday! Who’s joining us?

We’re excited to welcome The Streamer.Meat Crew (your favorite fly fishing podcast) to Hold Fast Brewing for fly tying nights, starting this January! 🎣🔥

Join us on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6–8pm for a relaxed, hands-on evening of tying flies, swapping stories, and hanging out with fellow anglers.

Our first night kicks off Thursday, January 15, and the series will run through at least the end of March.

👉 Bring your own tying gear and supplies if you have them. If you don’t, there may be extra tools on hand along with plenty of folks happy to share tips and techniques.

Whether you’re a seasoned fly tier or just curious to learn, grab a drink and come restock those fly boxes with us at Hold Fast! 🍻

Advanced Streamer Tying and Tactics
An Ozarks Streamer Tying and Fishing Primer!

Here are the details!

4 Sessions taking you from beginning the streamer journey to some more advanced patterns and tying methods.
We will be concentrating on teaching primarily Ozarks Streamer and Tying techniques but what you learn will definitely translate to your overall streamer knowledge.

This class is intended for intermediate to advanced tyers, but if you want to come watch, please do!
We will do 2 identical sessions per day. One early and one late.

The early session will have breakfast and coffee The late session will have dinner, most likely a crockpot or chili kinda gig.

Beyond tying we will dive into theory, some presentations and behaviors.
Come ready to learn.

Class is “free” but we will accept donations at the door, if you feel it was worthwhile.

We’ll also have some special guest tyers presenting their takes on patterns we will teach.

I have created a link to sign up, we are limited to 12 tyers per session, and 20 total including folks that just want to watch or hang out.

If you do not complete the registration we will not be able to guarantee food, materials etc for you. (That being said , if you just want to come watch or socialize, we’d love to see you!)
