Currently 83 degrees with 76 % humidity in the shop.
With this week's heat advisory I will be working early and leaving early each day, likely 5a.m. to 2 p.m. at the latest.
I'd do nearly anything for my friends and customers but dying at work is not on that list.

When installing coatings I put a lot of time and care into what I do,, I always do an after inspection in different forms of light to make sure everything is properly done. Under the shop lights, afternoon sun, and I try to do a third early morning for lower light or overcast skies. Some of the darker colors and heavy metallic paint on vehicles can hide coating streaks or "high spots" that are hard to detect. On this particular vehicle, I didn't get the afternoon light to inspect due to rain, and the morning was a bit too sunny to see things that would normally be easy to find as opposed to a sunny day. So in comes the fourth method for inspection, using white paper as an indirect, or diffused light source as a method of creating the right situation to see any excess coating that needs removed....because I don't like to have any failures.....but I accept the fact that sometimes things do happen. From now on there will be all 4 inspection methods so I can be 100% sure everything is taken care of before pickup because mother nature isn't always going to provide the right light needed.
