And yes, we know it's June of 2026, but these awards are handed out in the last spring so we can get as many distributed in person as possible, honoring the work for the previous year.

If you need a movie recommendation from me (cause I’m sure you were going to ask) watch this one. It is phenomenal. It had everything a good film should have -story. So good!

I’m so excited about this edit. How do you take a boring training video and turn it into something truly inspiring? That is where authentic storytelling comes in. This new client trusted my idea and I don’t think they are even remotely prepared for how powerful this film is going to be. I’ve laid out the rough edit and I’m shooting all the b-roll tomorrow. I’m so in love with how this is coming together.

Edit week. This is where the film actually gets made — long after the cameras stop rolling. We're in the room choosing which moments of truth to keep and which to protect.

Doing a little shoot today. Shoot 1 of 2 for the week. Love my job and how no two days are quite the same.

Working on a rough cut today and I think this may be my best projects yet. I’m so excited to see the edit come to life. I think they will be blown away. I’ll be finishing up shooting b-roll on Friday and then finalize the edit. This kind of project gives me life. What started as a boring training video has turned into documentary art. Love it!

Nonprofits often ask: "How long should our impact video be?" My answer: as long as it needs to be to make someone feel something — and not a second longer. For social media, 60–90 seconds. For a gala or grant, 3–5 minutes. For a deep campaign film? Let the story decide.
