Dear Chamber Members,

As I prepare to step away from my role as Executive Director of the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce shortly after the Vermont Apple Festival & Craft Show, I want to take a moment to share my deepest gratitude with each of you.

Being allowed to lead this organization, in my own hometown, has meant more to me than I can express. When I stepped into this position, I was a young professional, fresh out of college, and full of ideas, hope, and determination. You took a chance on me, you welcomed me, supported me, and believed in what we could do together. I could not have asked for a bigger learning opportunity than what the last 4 years at the Chamber have provided.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most committed and community-minded people I’ve known. Together with our partners, board of directors, and membership, we’ve grown the Chamber’s presence, supported local businesses, and continued to foster a stronger, more connected Springfield. We've brought back events after COVID, welcomed new businesses, created new connections, and worked to bring our organization into the modern business world.

It has been an honor to serve this town that raised me, and as I turn the page to the next chapter of my life, I do so with pride in what we’ve accomplished and deep appreciation for the trust and encouragement you've shown me.

Thank you for believing in me, and thank you for all the work you do to keep Springfield vibrant, resilient, and full of potential.

"The New Address Of An Old Friend" Sometimes people move. And sometimes buildings move. The Windsor Diner moved today. There has been a diner at the 135 Main Street location for almost a Century and the current Worcester Lunch Car number 832 was moved there (from Fitchburg, Mass.) sometime in the 1960s after the original diner burned. Today it only had to be moved two football fields. And it made it. A video of the entire move will be on the Windsor On Air channel. Here are some photos. Congrats to the crew from Blanchard Contracting and to Theresa Taylor for helping save this local institution.
