HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital hosted the Touch a Truck Back-to-School Supply Drive on July 17.

Pediatric patients from the hospital and members of the community got to see emergency vehicles up close and school supplies were collected to benefit local children.

Out shopping for school supplies? Consider picking up a few extra items for the youth served by Family Service Center. The nonprofit would appreciate donations of post-it notes, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, bookbags /backpacks, loose leaf paper and glue.

Kidzeum of Health and Science is holding an anniversary celebration this weekend with free admission Saturday and free events and special activities both days.

The weekend will feature live performances, hands-on science programs, games, giveaways and the grand opening of the brand-new Route 66-themed exhibition, The Road to Adventure: Exploring Route 66.
