Excited to announce Ryan Ripken will be joining us this summer to talk about his journey through the game.
To say I’m fascinated by his path would be an understatement. Ryan got all the way to AAA with the Orioles, was drafted twice, and now has one of my favorite podcasts out there where he has spoke with some of the true legends of the game.
Growing up around major league clubhouses, your dad’s baseball shadow being never ending, everyone knows about “the Ripken way.” I can’t wait to hear how he looks back now on all of it and how the game has shaped him.
I have a unique and personal connection to the Ripken’s as well. In 2012 I tried out for and made a reality show called “The Player” with Cal as a the host. I got to meet him, and he threw batting practice to me. The show never messer up airing, but because of impressions I made there I got my foot in the door and got a chance to play some pro ball. The experience was so meaningful to me that my sons middle name is Ripken.
