We had an absolute blast capturing the fierce energy of Lanphier High School Cheerleading and the elegance of a PORTA Dancer in the studio. From crowns on fire to bat-wielding queens, sparkling hats to glowing poms—these athletes brought the heat, the heart, and the attitude.

Today, I honor the man who shaped me — my father, Gary William Hickey. 💔🇺🇸

Creating this photo was more than a tribute — it was therapy. A way to process the weight of loss, the love that never fades, and the quiet strength he passed down to all of us. Years ago he had the honor to help restore the Tropics sign in Lincoln, IL. He loved that sign and always spoke about it. Every time I look at that sign I think of him. You know at one point you couldn't go down a single street in Lincoln without seeing his work. He was an Amazing Artist.

This isn’t just a headstone. It’s a symbol of a legacy. Of memories filled with laughter, life lessons, family stories, and yes… that loyal pup who surely met him at the gates.

To my dad — I miss you more than words can carry. Your spirit, your wisdom, your love… it's still with me in every frame I capture. This one's for you. ❤️
