As a video professional for over 14 years I've found very few projects that are as fulfilling as capturing and crafting Life Interviews. They are treasures for families for generations to come. There is something about the real moments, stories, and wisdom that carries so much more weight.

Unless you want to run into a lot of pain very quickly - You don't just wander in and wing a project of this size without a plan, two way collaboration, technical knowledge, and reliable workflows. Especially with projects like this one that utilized cinema cameras shooting raw footage totaling around 70 Terabytes. 14 years of learning and improving has proven to me that a little more time planning and building at the start leads to the best possible results down the line.

I developed a remote editing workflow for the team as well where almost all of the work and video files (minus final exports) streamed live, completely from the cloud. Got to love the data rates of Google Fiber.

Being flexible and developing a workflow to suit each clients needs is essential for post production. Whether very big projects like this that last months, or a single ad. When you have the scale of this project though organization is essential to track what has been done, what feedback has been received, what changes have been requested, and what approvals have been made. And then repeat the process many times over without getting lost. LightDive can make this process painless.
