Mitchell County Emergency Management is aware of potentially hazardous tropical weather forming in the Atlantic Ocean south of Florida.

While there is no certainty for potential weather impacts to Mitchell County at this time, a tropical system may effect parts or all of North Carolina late this weekend into early next week.
