Linc Nolan Bloomfield (age 61) is the individual that law enforcement was contacted about for allegedly shooting into vehicles and hitting vehicles as well. The vehicle involved was a gold-colored Toyota car. Our county has so far charged him with one count of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle. He has been served this warrant in Avery County. This is still an ongoing investigation by our agency, and I am sure by the other agencies involved. If anyone in Mitchell County feels they were a victim of the occurrence yesterday in Mitchell County, please contact us. It was a miracle of God that no one was seriously injured or killed yesterday.
This person is innocent until proven guilty in court.
