Commercial driver allegedly transporting passengers from Onitsha to Lagos got into a heated argument with the front-seat passenger and threatened to “deal with” him.
On getting to ljebu-Ode, he reportedly swerved and crashed the passenger’s side of the bus into a parked truck.
The front-seat passenger died at the scene, while several others were injured.
The driver abandoned the vehicle and went home, but was later arrested by authorities.

When I married my first wife, Maureen, we were together for four years before our marriage eventually ended. We didn’t have a child together, and after that chapter of my life closed, I moved on.

In 2022, I got married to my wife, Winifred. For years, we prayed and waited for the blessing of a child. During that period, I faced painful words from people. I was called different names, but the one that hurt me the most was when someone said I was an impotent man looking for whose life to ruin — that I had spoiled my former wife Maureen’s life and had found another victim.

Those words broke me. I cried to God in my pain and said, “Lord, please do not put me to shame.”

And God answered my prayer.

Last month, my wife and I welcomed our first child, a beautiful baby girl. Today, I am proud and grateful to be called a father.
