High Hill Press High Hill Press was established in the winter of 2008. We are a royalty paying small press.

We cater to authors that have a great story to tell, and tell it with a great voice. Unlike a commercial press, your book doesn't have to fit into a specific genre, and we aren't as interested in the latest trend, as we are in a great story.

Many of you have been with me when my cell phone rings...and it plays, "On the Road Again." Well, we're on the road again. I'm finding wifi at the top of hills, in strange bars with gigantic satellite dishes on their flat little roofs (which I'm thinking might be landing pads for alien crafts...lots of those in Kentucky), and in Cracker Barrel. When Willie stops singing, and we are home again, I'll get those brochures out to people who've asked for them. And remember to check out the website, we're adding things almost every day. And I thought it's about time I introduced you to my husband. He's really a nice guy, and promised he won't greet anyone this way at Ozark Creative Writers in October.

Brett won the Spur in 2013 for his novel Panhandle, and this year he received the Spur Award for Short Fiction for his story, Cabin Fever, featured in Cactus Country Volume III.
