It's another Throwback Thursday.

As hot as it's been, wouldn't it be great to take a trip up North where it is a bit cooler? Well, here's the next best thing. This special episode where we took a little trip to Alaska and our host Flyin' Brian's car radar went off and he stumbled on a car show in Petersburg, known as Alaska's Little Norway.

Find out about Petersburg and see the cars in this video.

This is always a great event....

There’s something special about seeing a parking lot full of people who simply came to spend the day together. ❤️

Old friends catching up. New friendships being made. Kids running around. Families laughing. Neighbors visiting with neighbors.

That’s what this day is really about.

Five weeks from now, we get to do it all over again… and we’d love for you to be part of it. 🧡

Come as you are. Bring your people. There’s a place for you here.

It's another Ride of the Week Wednesday! This time we check out this awesome car from down da bayou in Choctaw Louisiana.

It's Roland Pitree's Mercury Comet Caliente. Here's the story.
(Certain aspects of the story are taken from Buffalo Bob's 'Zine with permission)

"Meet Roland Pitree and his head-turning 1965 Mercury Comet Caliente. Clad in an unmissable shade called Toxic Tomato, this rare classic isn’t just about retro style—it packs a serious punch with a 400-horsepower 302 crate engine under the hood, paired with the original C-4 transmission with a 3,000 stall. Roland picked up the Comet in 2021 and transformed it into a local car-show favorite, balancing unique vintage bodywork with mean, modern muscle.

I purchased the car from Brookhaven, MS on 03/05/2021. Since then, it’s received:

Fresh paint (2024)
New engine (originally had a 289)
Rebuilt transmission
New bucket seats
New wheels and tires

The car gets its personality from the color, which is Toxic Tomato. It’s basically the same shade it was when I got it. I get a lot of compliments on the color, so I stuck with it."

Thanks Roland for sharing and Bobby Bergeron for allowing us to "steal" the story.
