Who is ready for some more snow? We are supposed to get more snow this weekend, according to the rumors. But if the past twenty-four hours are any indications of more snow this weekend, then don't put your shovel away just yet.

However, last night and this morning, we received approximately four plus inches of snow in some areas. Other areas got more snow.

Also, did you anyone get a chance to use some of the nearby sledding hills? Like the one on Masonic? Or perhaps the sledding hill at Spindler Park in Eastpointe? That was just two of the many sledding hills in the area. Where is your favorite sledding hill? Tell us below; we would love to know.

Valentine’s Day Card Making - Wednesday, February 12th 1pm - 4pm
Want to make something special for someone special? Join us for a little drop-in DIY Valentine's card-making. Supplies will be provided, just bring some heartfelt sentiments. Stop by anytime between 1pm and 4pm. Registration is not required. All Ages Welcome.

Block Printing Quilt Patterns - Saturday, February 22nd 1pm - 4pm
Join us in this workshop where we’ll learn the basics of block printing. We will be working with geometric blocks to create repeating patterns inspired by traditional quilts. Each attendee will be given a 20x20 inch piece of cotton fabric to create their patterns on. Cost is $8 per person and can be paid at the Library’s Circulation desk when registering. For Ages 12 and Up. Registration begins February 7.

Irish History in Michigan - Saturday, March 8th 2pm - 3pm
Local Historians Elizabeth Rice and Pat Commins will be visiting the Farmhouse to explore the legacy and impact of Irish Immigrants in the Shores. They will also discuss the book they co-authored: Irish Immigrants in Michigan: A History in Stories. Registration is not required.

Tracing Shadows - Saturday, March 22nd 2pm - 4pm
Get creative at the museum and experiment with tracing and painting shadows of flowers, leaves and other various flora. Registration is required as space is limited, all ages are welcome. Registration begins March 7.

Live Rite Teens' Program is on the hunt for music instruments to support our Teens Programming. Learning music has been shown to have numerous benefits for developing brains, including enhanced cognitive skills, better focus and memory, and improved emotional regulation. Through our program, teens gain valuable life skills, build confidence, and have the chance to express themselves creatively!

If you have an instrument sitting unused, consider donating it to help us make a difference. Your donation can help transform a young person's life through the power of music.
