If you're looking for something to do next week, here's something that might appeal to you...and it's for a good cause.

The Secretary of State Mobile Office will be visiting the Roseville-Eastpointe Senior Center to provide service to residents to complete all their Secretary of State transaction needs. They will be here on Monday, November 17th from 10:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m. You must book a visit in order to complete your Secretary of State transactions, including: first-time Michigan ID, renew driver’s license or ID, vehicle renewals, transfer vehicle titles, and apply for/renew disability placard. For more information or to schedule your visit, please contact the Senior Office at (586) 777-7177.

On November 11, 2025, Bruce Post #1146 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, held a Veterans Day ceremony. Some St. Clair Shores City Council members, as well as the mayor, Kip C. Walby, were in attendance. Also at the ceremony was State Senator Kevin Hertel of the 12th District.

Representative Ron Robinson, who was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives from the 58th District in November 2024, was the ceremony's guest speaker.

There is no better way to begin the holiday season than with this family custom, which has been acknowledged for bringing in holiday cheer and fun for the past 50 years. As you might have guessed, we are discussing the Santa Parade in Mount Clemens. It began in 1975 and has continued to grow ever since. For many, this enjoyable family event has served as the starting point for holiday celebrations, even after it was temporarily canceled in 2006.

This year's Grand Marshals are Nelson and Diane Jackson. The Jacksons have been married for 50 years and have been a part of Mt. Clemens schools for many years.

Come celebrate with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus as they parade down Main Street in Downtown Mount Clemens on November 22, 2025, with many of their friends.
