Since arriving in Shearwater about 18 months ago, they’ve become a vibrant, faith-filled part of the community.

The Hannays describe themselves as “a little wild, a lot blessed, Spirit-led, raising little hearts to love fiercely and serve faithfully.” And once you meet them—or simply hear their driveway dance parties—you’ll understand exactly what that means.

After years of deployments, cross-country moves, and high-stakes missions, Zack and Ashley felt called to build a life centered on faith, purpose, and community. Shearwater became the first place that truly felt like home. Their house overflows with laughter, adventure, and the beautiful chaos of family life—whether they’re cruising in a decked-out golf cart, exploring local trails, or hosting movie nights in the driveway.

Their business, Green Cove Golf Carts, reflects their heart for service. What started with Zack’s desire to raise safety standards in the industry has grown into a mission to provide families with top-tier carts powered by UL-certified fire-safe lithium batteries. For them, safety isn’t an upgrade—it’s the starting point.

Adventure is part of their DNA, from long cross-country road trips to community outreach and missionary work in Costa Rica. At home, they’re known for their legendary Christmas golf cart cruises—lights flashing, cocoa in hand, and enough holiday cheer to lead their own parade.

Festive Cranberry Mocktail Spritz 🍊✨

A little sparkle, a little citrus, and a whole lot of holiday cheer — this Cranberry Mocktail Spritz is the perfect sip for the season! 🍒✨ Whether you’re toasting with friends or enjoying a quiet moment at home, this refreshing drink brings the flavors of winter together beautifully.

Ingredients:
• ½ cup fresh or frozen cranberries
• 1 Tbsp honey or agave
• Juice of ½ orange
• 3 oz unsweetened cranberry juice
• 3 oz sparkling water
• Rosemary sprig + ice

Directions:
Muddle cranberries with honey + orange juice, add cranberry juice, strain over ice, top with sparkling water, and garnish with rosemary. Sip, smile, repeat.
✨ Hint: Add a splash of prosecco for a light cocktail version!

Some pets bring nonstop excitement, while others offer a peaceful kind of joy. Kaleigh, a stunning rough collie and one of Shearwater’s most admired pups, somehow brings both. With her calm spirit, gentle eyes, and graceful presence, she’s become a favorite face on neighborhood strolls.

Kaleigh’s family has called Shearwater home for two and a half years, loving everything from the lap pool to the tennis courts—but it’s the neighbors who make it truly special. And for Kaleigh, those friendly waves and warm hellos along Windley Drive are the best part of every day.

Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, she joined her family almost eight years ago, and “Kaleigh” was the name everyone instantly agreed felt just right. These days, she’s happiest enjoying quiet walks and carrying her beloved fuzzy cow toy wherever she goes. No wild adventures needed—just sunshine, soft breezes, and the comfort of home.

It’s easy to see why this beautiful collie has captured so many hearts. She has a way of slowing life down just enough to appreciate the little joys all around us.
