🥗 Fresh, Simple, and Meant to Be Shared 🍅✨

Inspired by summers in the kitchen with my mom, this dish brings together garden-fresh tomatoes, basil, and simple ingredients in the most delicious way. Over time, I’ve added little twists (hello, capers + balsamic!)—but the heart of it remains the same: fresh, real food made to be shared. It’s quick, kid-approved, and pairs with just about anything.
Here’s how to make our go-to summer side:
Heirloom Tomato + Mozzarella Salad

Ingredients:
🍅 3 ripe heirloom tomatoes, chopped or sliced
🧀 6 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced ¼-inch thick
🧅 ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
🥄 1 tbsp capers (optional, but adds a briny bite!)
🥄 1–2 tsp balsamic vinegar or reduction
🥄 1–2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
🌿 Fresh basil leaves
🧂 Pinch of Himalayan pink salt
🧂 Pinch of freshly cracked black pepper

To Assemble:
Chop the tomatoes + mozzarella into bite-sized pieces (or slice and layer for a classic look).
Layer tomatoes, mozzarella, onion, capers, and torn basil on a large platter or shallow bowl.
Drizzle with olive oil + balsamic, then sprinkle with salt + pepper. No need to measure—just go with your gut!
If prepping ahead, refrigerate for up to 2 hours, but wait to add oil/vinegar/salt/pepper until just before serving for peak flavor.
Simple, fresh, and always a crowd-pleaser. 💛

Want real, lasting change? Start small. Choose one habit—movement or nutrition—and master it before layering in more. That’s where the magic happens.

Some of my favorite reminders for a sustainable reset:
☕ Coffee. 💧Water. 🍷Wine. In that order.
😴 Sleep is a health habit—treat it like one.
🚶‍♀️ Walking counts. And it works.
🍽️ Eat real food. Lead with protein.
📆 Plan your week (or it’ll plan you).
🏃‍♀️ Do workouts you actually like (Pilates and barre for me!).

Forget perfection. Focus on consistency, flexibility, and giving yourself a little grace. One walk, one meal, and one glass of water at a time.
