PERSONS OF INTEREST: District 1 detectives are asking for the public’s help locating three people of interest connected to the street takeover in the Bevo neighborhood over the weekend.

• Ashton Brewer, 19 is approximately 5’6” and about 120 lbs.
• Christopher Moore, 20 is approximately 5’10” and about 120 lbs.
• Gavin Schain, 18 is approximately 5’8” and about 153 lbs.

Brewer and Moore are known to be armed. Do not approach them.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact District 1 detectives at (314) 444-0001.

Detectives continue to work to identify others connected to the takeover and our investigation remains ongoing.

UPDATE: 18-YEAR-OLD KILLED IN WEST END SHOOTING IDENTIFIED, SUSPECT CHARGED

UPDATE: A 19-year-old male was arrested for this incident. The Circuit Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and issued charges against the 19-year-old for Murder 1st Degree, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, and Robbery First Degree. Bond not allowed.

UPDATE: The deceased 18-year-old has been identified as Justin Holmes of St. Louis City.

On September 4, 2026, just after 8:00PM, District 5 officers received a call for a shooting after an 18-year-old male was dropped off at an area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers located a scene in the 5900 block of Plymouth Ave.

Despite life-saving efforts by hospital staff, the man died from his injuries.

Homicide detectives were requested and initiated their investigation.

VEHICLE FLIPS OVER IN CRASH ON I-170 NORTHBOUND NEAR I-270

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. A video sent to our newsroom shows the aftermath of a two-vehicle accident on I-170 northbound just before I-270.

In the video, two vehicles can be seen involved in the crash, with one vehicle completely overturned.

At this time, we do not have any information regarding injuries or what caused the accident.

If you’re traveling through the area, slow down, stay alert and expect possible delays.

WOMAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH ST. LOUIS STREET TAKEOVER

ST. LOUIS, Mo. 19-year-old Jade Martinez is now facing a charge in connection with a street takeover investigation in St. Louis.

According to SLMPD, Martinez has been charged with one count of stunt driving in connection with, participating in, or performing a street takeover, first offense.

Police say Martinez was issued a summons and released following the charge.

This comes as SLMPD continues cracking down on street takeovers across the city, with investigators still working to identify additional people believed to have participated.

The investigation remains ongoing.

AUTHORITIES SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT AFTER MAN SHOT AND KILLED IN DUTCHTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD

ST. LOUIS, Mo. Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect connected to the June 30 shooting death of 21-year-old Gary May in South St. Louis.

Police say May was shot multiple times around 9:10 p.m. at the Speedway Market in the 4700 block of Spring Avenue in the Dutchtown neighborhood. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have now released an image of the person they are looking for. Police describe the suspect as a Black man believed to be between 18 and 25 years old. He was reportedly wearing a hooded sweatshirt with what appears to be “Von Dutch” across the front, along with light-colored pants and shoes.

More than two months after May was killed, detectives are still trying to determine exactly what happened and who is responsible.

Anyone who recognizes the individual or has information about the shooting is urged to contact police.

POLICE SEARCHING FOR THREE PEOPLE OF INTEREST CONNECTED TO BEVO STREET TAKEOVER

District 1 detectives are asking for the public’s help locating three people of interest connected to the street takeover that happened in the Bevo neighborhood over the weekend.

Police are looking for 19-year-old Ashton Brewer, 20-year-old Christopher Moore and 18-year-old Gavin Schain.

Brewer is approximately 5’6” and 120 pounds, Moore is around 5’10” and 120 pounds, and Schain is approximately 5’8” and 153 pounds.

Police say Brewer and Moore are known to be armed, and they are warning the public not to approach them.

Detectives say the investigation is still ongoing as they continue trying to identify others connected to the takeover.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact District 1 detectives at 314-444-0001.

And with these street takeovers continuing to get more reckless, police are making it clear they are going back through video, tips and other evidence to figure out exactly who was involved.

PEDESTRIAN FATALLY STRUCK IN EARTH CITY IDENTIFIED💔

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. The man who lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in Earth City has been identified as 63-year-old Paul Roberts.

Police say Roberts was hit around 9 p.m. Friday in the 13800 block of Rider Trail North. He died at the scene. The driver remained there and is cooperating with investigators.

What makes this even more heartbreaking is that Roberts was reportedly just days away from retirement after working 44 years at FedEx.

After more than four decades of getting up, going to work and building toward retirement, he was right at the finish line.

Our condolences go out to Paul Roberts’ family, friends, coworkers and everyone who knew and loved him. This is truly a heartbreaking loss.

ST. LOUIS POSTAL WORKER FACING FEDERAL TIME AFTER ALLEGEDLY DUMPING THOUSANDS OF PIECES OF MAIL

54-year-old Armond Paige is now facing federal jail time after prosecutors say he spent nearly two years dumping mail instead of delivering it.

Paige worked out of the Maryville Gardens Post Office on Meramec Street. Federal prosecutors allege that between roughly 2024 and April 29, 2026, he dumped mail in vacant, overgrown lots around the city. Authorities say as many as 30,000 pieces of mail may have been involved.

Paige has been charged with delay or destruction of mail by a postal employee. He pleaded not guilty in federal court Tuesday.

If convicted, the charge carries up to five years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine, or both.

And this comes while St. Louis residents have already been complaining about delayed, missing and stolen mail. A federal audit previously found millions of pieces of delayed mail sitting inside a St. Louis-area processing center on a single day.

So if you were wondering where your mail was going, federal prosecutors say at least some of it may have never made it to the mailbox.
