Letter of the day centers:

I’ll never forget the Accessible Literacy PD I went to years ago. It’s the reason I switched from letter of the week to letter of the day, so that our students can get exposure to each letter 2-3x more during the school year.

Fall “break” recap 🍂

It wasn’t the fall break I had planned, but I’m thankful for weekends packed with fall memories and the time to prepare for a lot of change.

I’m also in awe of the people who rallied together to support our kids (and me), when they certainly didn’t have to and could have also been enjoying a fall break🫶🏼

It’s been a whirlwind of a week and I can’t wait to see our kids today.

Classrooms don’t have to have an extravagant theme or lots of excess decorations, but they do need to have intentional supports in place for students and staff.

I used to be the teacher that swapped out her bulletin borders every single year 😵‍💫, but thankfully I’ve learned to prioritize the things that are actually meaningful for us.

After lots of trial and error, these are the things that make a big difference in our classroom set-up on day ONE.
