There’s some friendly competition in the office today! Congratulations to our founders, Chadwell & Ria Ruthsatz - both nominated as Mid-America EMMY Directors!

Chadwell earned a nomination for the Nerinx Hall admissions film "Green Girls", and Ria for "(RE)IMAGINE" with Saint Louis Dance Theatre.

We’re cheering for both - and celebrating all the talented St. Louis nominees who continue to raise the bar for filmmaking in our region.

We had the privilege of capturing a truly magical moment for 6-year-old Makenna, as she was surprised with the news that her one-true wish to visit Walt Disney World was becoming a reality! 🌟

For over 10 years, the St. Louis Cardinals Wives & Family have partnered with Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas to create hope and make dreams come true for local wish kids battling critical illnesses. Thanks to their unwavering support, we were able to document a wish reveal fit for a princess.

This film serves as a powerful reminder of the hope, joy, and community that Make-A-Wish brings to children and their families. We’re so grateful to have been a part of such an enchanting and life-changing experience.

Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas asked us to capture the heartwarming story of Dannah and her family. 🌺

As we filmed, we were reminded of the Hawaiian saying, "Noho me ka hau’oli," which roughly translates to "be happy" or "choose joy." This phrase perfectly captures the spirit of Dannah’s wish journey. Witnessing the power of her wish reaffirmed how important it is to spread joy to those who need it most.

We’re incredibly grateful to partner with organizations like Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas, who continue to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families. 🌟

At Tree9 Films, we hope to tell stories that stand the test of time.

We were honored to create a film celebrating the 125-year legacy of Principia School—an institution committed to cultivating students who think fearlessly, live selflessly, and learn purposefully. With a treasure trove of photos, archived footage, and books, we had a monumental task ahead of us, but it was truly a joy to bring their history to life.

This short documentary focuses not just on the expansion of the school’s facilities, but on the ongoing evolution of the education structure that’s been in place for over a century. From the 1920s to today, Principia’s story is one of continuous building—on a foundation laid 125 years ago.

We’re proud that this film was nominated for a Mid-America Emmy and awarded Silver at The Telly Award, and we’re so grateful to have been part of telling their story.

We worked with Kids In The Middle, a nationally accredited non-profit, to produce a film that highlights the lasting impact they have on kids and families navigating the challenges of separation and divorce. Our story follows an older brother as he steps up to care for his younger sister during this difficult time, showing the emotional weight of family transitions.

It was important for us to convey that while the process isn’t immediate, Kids In The Middle equips children with the tools they need to manage the changes and thrive.

We’re proud that this film was nominated for a Mid-America Emmy and honored to have been part of sharing this important story.
