About Us

Exotic Wood Zone was founded in 2013 by Jockey Mohammed in St Louis. MO.

Since 1980 Jockey worked alongside his father, Casper, owner of Bluemountain Exporters traveling the word in search of exotic woods for Musical Instrument customers like Takamine, Victornox, Maderas Barber, West Penn Hardwoods, and Marton Guitars. Jockey started out working on the band saw for his father’s sawmill and was gradually trained to select the best ebony and rosewood guitar products under the supervision and guidance of other well known experts in his field.

For the past 36 years, Jockey has been supplying specialized exotic wood products to countries like Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, USA, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Spain and more. During this period he started offices at Cochin for fast shipments and became a member of NAMM show in 2001.
