Healthy Burritos πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ³

1.) Chipotle Adobo Chicken:
In a mixing down use the following πŸ‘‡πŸ½
1 can of chipotle pepper adobo, can chop and add peppers too
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp black pepper
Juice of 2 limes
Add 1LB of chicken thighs (can use chicken breast for leaner purposes, however, chicken thighs made these burritos taste more like Chipotle since that is what they use) and let marinate for at least one hour, cook chicken until done, and finish with searing the chicken.

2.) Cilantro Lime Crema:
Using your blender add the following πŸ‘‡πŸ»
1 cup crema (or sour cream)
Juice and zest of 1 lime
1-2 JalapeΓ±os
1 clove of Minced garlic
1 tsp of Onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Blend until smooth, and add water to desired consistency.

3.) Cilantro Lime Rice 🍚:
Cook rice and let cool slightly, add the juice of 1 lime and 1 handful chopped of chopped cilantro and mix.

4.) Sauteed Veggies πŸ«‘:
Heat olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Saute crisp veggies: Add bell peppers, onion, and whatever other veggies you prefer, and Saute for 4 minutes (toss just occasionally so it can brown slightly).

Then you add all of your fixings to your tortilla, roll your burrito 🌯 and sear it on each side for a few seconds. Enjoy!

If we miss hitting 15K steps on any day we have to make those steps up the next day, zero compromise, and leave the excuses. This challenge is based on the honor system so, only you will know if you did not do the work. The reason why we are choosing stepping is for overall mental and physical improvement. The benefits of stepping are to help burn calories, build strength, improve cardiovascular, boost your mood, and improve balance and agility. EAT YOUR GREENS! Feeling super grateful for our 1st Phorm advisor encouraging us to eat more fruits and veggies (even this non-veggies girl πŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ enjoyed it).

These microgreens are locally grown by in Wentzville, Missouri. We have a mixture of sunflower 🌻 microgreens ( it has the vitamins of A, C, E, K, B6, and B9 (folate), minerals including iron, potassium, and magnesium), and radish microgreens (contain zinc, potassium, folate, manganese, copper, sodium, phosphorus, dietary fiber, niacin, riboflavin, vitamin B1 & B6, calcium, iron, and magnesium). This is something we will be adding to our rotation of meals moving forward and as always support local! 🫢🏽🫢🏻 - Lucky Dog Farm

My husband Jon never talks about himself. He is the most humbling human being I have ever met. He’s down 115 pounds now and was almost 60 percent body fat and is now in the 20s with 100 percent of muscle mass. ☺️

I am sharing this in hopes to inspire someone else. This journey has taken him 1 year and 1 month with one refeed meal (A refeed meal is a calculated increase of foods typically healthy foods but we went unhealthy) on Christmas and several cheat meals during our 5-day vacation. The photo on the left is not his heaviest. That was during the vacation.

If you have any doubts ignore them. You can and you will get better. You have to want it for yourself. No one else can do it for you. You have to remember your WHY and stay focused. You have to be willing to get uncomfortable to grow and it's not easy. You have to be willing to put in the work. This lifestyle is one day at a time and remember we are not Amazon Prime....we cannot lose weight on the same day like same-day delivery or within two days or overnight πŸ˜‚. If we could Jon and I would have sighed up previously πŸ˜† but after many failed attempts to make this a lifestyle over 10 years of marriage we had to develop discipline and we are still working towards it every single day.

It takes time and you will not see results right away but what you will see is someone wanting to get better every time you look in that mirror so, let’s not miss this (no excuses), and let’s win the day!

This is me πŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ making healthier choices with foods that make me feel good and give me energy (eat for fuel), doing strength training as well as cardio, getting uncomfortable, listening to the knowledge that Supplement Superstores and 1st Phorm provide (we were able to get a free customized food plan from S2, we also do our free weekly weigh-ins at S2 using their InBody scan, and we use the 1st Phorm app to help us log our food and we have a wonderful advisor .a.wolff that pushes us), putting in the physical work that gives us with personal training, and following the mental toughness program by Andy Frisella (please, keep in mind that it's a mental program focused on helping you build discipline and not a weight loss program).

It’s not easy. It's not a quick fix. But being down 85 pounds is worth it especially if that means putting in the hard work to become a better version of myself both mentally and physically. Jon and I are down 195 pounds since we walked into an S2 store on April 26, 2022. We aren't where we want to be and we are looking forward to continuing to share our lifestyle with you. In the words of Central Standard Coffee, Keep Going, Keep Growing. πŸ’―
