A new mini-documentary reflecting on the May 16, 2025 tornado, Red Brick Blue Tarp will screen on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Northside Movement Center.
Created one year after the deadly storm that tore through the north and west sides of St. Louis, this 30-minute documentary blends poetry, music, and intimate on-the-ground footage to explore grief, survival, and collective memory in our historically Black community rebuilding in the wake of disaster.
Red Brick Blue Tarp created by an all-St. Louis team including director Cami Thomas of My Friends and I, producer Jessica Wernli, and in collaboration with 314 Oasis.
