Robert Redford passed away today at the age of 89. A true multi-talent, he won an Academy Award for his role as Johnny 'Kelly' Ho**er in 'The Sting' before winning a Best Director Oscar in 1980 for 'Ordinary People.'⁠

Our Story

The Roots is a successful Internet radio station based in St. Louis MO USA. We are not some corporation that thinks of music only as “product”. We were a team of music lovers who were thrilled to be bring back to the world some of the best music ever made! The original progressive sound made famous in St. Louis, MO by legendary FM radio stations like KSHE and KADI.

Ted Habeck is our program director. Ted started his radio career at KSHE and then moved on the LA. Now you can hear Ted on The Roots.Fm, starting mornings at 8AM.

After twice being honored as the best music radio station station in St. Louis, The Roots is rocking again. You can listen The Roots in many different places.
