Organized in 1975, G. Bradley Publishing was founded by principals, Brad and Gloria Baraks. They have published over 200 coffee-table pictorial history books throughout the Midwest and, more recently, they have experienced unprecedented success with their ethnic history/cookbooks. Each book is a year-long labor of love and written by local historians who are critically acclaimed in their area of expertise.

On April 13, 2013 at the Missouri Botanical Gardens Cooking School, John Mineo, Jr. (co-owner of John Mineo’s Italian Restaurant in Town & Country, Missouri) instructed a class of participants willing to learn how to cook four vegetarian meals. Some of the recipes are considered to be signature dishes of John and his family.

Kim Tucci, co-owner of The Pasta House Co., was the guest of Jeannie Hood, owner of Three French Hens in Wildwood, on December 1, 2012. From Noon to 2:00, Mr. Tucci autographed copies of the book "Saint Louis Italians: The Hill and Beyond" at Ms. Hood's popular home and furniture showroom. Jeannie also recognized Mr. Tucci for his local philanthropic efforts. This event was held during Jeannie's "Women doing Business with Women" event. The Pasta House Co. restaurant chain today has twenty-three restaurants and more than fifteen hundred employees. The Pasta House Co. is the largest locally owned restaurant chain in Missouri.
