Working in marketing long enough gives you some very strangely specific life skills.

Like being able to:
- summarize a complicated idea in one sentence or less
- spot terrible signage and remember details about it while driving 70 mph
- make a deadline work through sheer force of will
- translate vague feedback into something usable
- and explain “so, what exactly do you do?” at every family gathering

Everyone’s talking. Everything’s thinking. Half the room is giving out branded stress balls, with the other half giving away branded totes. There’s A LOT going on.

Good signage is a must. If people can understand who you are from 20 feet away, you’re already ahead.

Still one of our favorite recent projects: helping bring Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport’s “Nice to Meet You” campaign to life!

From TV spots and paid social ads to digital creative and on-location filming in Texas, this campaign gave us the chance to build something with a lot of personality behind it.

The goal was to create work that felt welcoming, recognizable, and genuinely human while helping BRO stand out in a crowded travel space and resonate with exactly the right audiences.

Honest question… are brands trying a little too hard to be funny right now in their content?

Humor can work REALLY well. When it fits, it makes a brand feel human and approachable. You think, “Wow! I wanna hang out with that guy.”

But when it doesn’t, it’s… awkward. So, so awkward.

Not every brand necessarily needs to be the funniest voice in the room (read the room a little).

Sometimes being clear, helpful, and just a little bit human is more than enough.
