🎥 Some movies celebrate heroes. Some ask what happens after the credits have rolled.

A while back, we covered Dead Presidents (1995) — a film that blends crime drama with a harder look at war, memory & the cost carried long after service ends.

This Memorial Day, we’re revisiting that conversation & remembering those who never made it home. Stories matter & so do the people behind them.

“I think our Mom is Charles Manson.” 💐🔪

Celebrating Mother’s Day the only way we know how: sitting in a dark theater watching moms absolutely unravel in Serial Mom.

Nothing says family values quite like prank calls, suburban rage & perfectly sharpened pair of scissors. ❤️

💥 From the rising rumble to the full-blown explosion of the band, Pretty Ugly: The Story of the Lunachicks is exactly the kind of music documentary we need in 2026.

Director Ilya Chaiken pulls together over 30 years of live shows, tour footage & a lifetime of friendship—no small feat—and lets it all breathe in the most electric way.

Unfiltered, hilarious & refreshingly honest, this isn’t just a chronicle of a band. It’s a testament to a bond that started in their teens & refuses to fade, evolving through every phase of life without losing its edge.

The Lunachicks’ rebellious, high-octane spirit—their refusal to compromise, their insistence on taking up space—still hits just as hard today. Maybe even harder.

Whether you’ve been there since the beginning or you’re just now stepping into the scene, one thing’s clear:
the spirit of the Lunachicks doesn’t die. It just gets louder. 🎸💥

✨ We’ll always know him from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where Nicholas Brendon made the awkward, lovable guy feel iconic. He had a way of bringing humor, vulnerability & something deeply human to every role—even in the weirdest corners of cinema. And those are the performances that stick.

We also love him for the unexpected detours… like Psycho Beach Party — a sun-soaked, technicolor swirl of surf culture, split personalities & beautifully bizarre camp. The kind of movie you discover late at night & carry with you forever.

Today we’re remembering Nicky with gratitude, a little nostalgia & maybe a return trip to the strange, wonderful worlds he helped bring to life. 💜 💜

Psycho Beach Party is currently streaming on & maybe now’s a good time to revisit all seasons of .

Tina Romero’s QUEENS OF THE DEAD

This undead brilliance was revived & will never be left in the shadows for us. It understood how to blend camp, chaos, comedy & camaraderie like never before.

It’s Purim — a holiday of masks, mistaken identities & a little chaos. Which feels… strangely perfect for the upcoming Oscars.

Tonight we’re revisiting For Your Consideration — where prestige is manufactured, buzz is weaponized & dreams are gift-wrapped for the Academy. Watch what happens when the spotlight gets a little too bright & willful delusion descends.

And in light of Catherine O’Hara’s recent passing, it feels right to celebrate one of her sharpest, most quietly devastating performances. Her brilliance, her timing, her humanity — it hits even deeper.

Sometimes the performance isn’t on stage. Sometimes it’s in the wanting. Award season always feels like theater — heightened, hopeful, just a little absurd.
