Do you call it Stuffing or Dressing? Do you make it or buy it? Does it even matter? Our tradition always includes some of Grandma Hazel's homemade stuffing and a pecan pie like my mom used to make. What are you doing for Thanksgiving?

Our food drive runs to Dec. 1. These are the items we are collecting in bulk to make "holiday bags" for Operation Food Search & Affton Christian Food Pantry. Each family will get a canned ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, vegetable side dishes (corn, green beans), fruit cocktail and cookies. The "canned bread" shown below is very good, it's baked in a can and they take each end out and slide the bread out. It's available on Amazon. We are also giving out Bisquick as a substitute. We made a "Wish List" on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/389BJ4QLY3241?ref_=wl_share or you can just buy it yourself. We have 4 drop-off points. All the info is in this article: https://stlsportspage.com/2025/11/16/help-us-help-feed-the-hungry-in-st-louis-with-our-choose-happy-holidays-food-drive/

So many of you donated to our food drive. Thank you so much! We made our first delivery to Operation Food Search and the Affton Food Pantry.
*We were able to deliver 100 holiday meal bags-- all due to those of you helping! Now our goal is 200 holiday meal bags for our December delivery. Please continue helping us do this. The list of the specific items we are collecting for the meal bags is here: https://stlsportspage.com/2025/11/16/help-us-help-feed-the-hungry-in-st-louis-with-our-choose-happy-holidays-food-drive/
Thank you to all of you who are sending cases of items --that has really been helpful. Whether you donated a couple of cans or a case of items every little bit helps. And thanks to those who donated their time for our work day.

Thanks to all who are participating in the food drive. Things we are needing right now are: canned bread found on Amazon, mashed potatoes, stuffing, tins of cookies and cake and icing mixes. You can drop it off at one of the drop off points or use our amazon wish list. It's amazing how many bags we will end up filling for a special holiday meal for so many people. We have twice as much food on the other side of the room, but these are for our special "Choose Happy Holiday Dinner Bags". You all are so generous. https://stlsportspage.com/2025/11/10/help-us-help-feed-the-hungry-in-st-louis-with-our-choose-happy-holidays-food-drive/
