The Trube Castle, built in 1890, by John Clement Trube and his wife Veronica Durst Trube and designed by architect Alfred Muller, is one of the most photographed historic buildings in Texas. It is distinctly Galveston and epitomizes the city’s 1890’s state of mind.
The 7000 sq. ft., 21 room castle was designed to replicate castles from Trube’s memory as a boy in Kiel , Denmark. It was completed in 3 ½ months from start to finish including stables, by contractor J. W. Pope, at the cost of $9,700. It is three stories and constructed of bricks covered by stucco mixed with Belgium cement creating a rusticated stone effect. The mansard slate roof with seven gables and the battlement tower give the historic home a castle distinction. The observation deck on the top of the tower offers a view of both the gulf and the harbor. Photo and text from their website

Jerome Bonaparte Pillow House (Helena, Arkansas)
Alternatively known as the Pillow-Thompson House, this Queen Anne house stands at 718 Perry Street and was built in 1896. It was individually placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and was designated a contributing property to the Beech Street Historic District in 1987.
The property's design is attributed to George Franklin Barber, who designed thousands of balloon-frame Victorian houses similar to this during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Helena, Arkansas, known as Helena–West Helena after merging with its municipal neighbor in 2006, is the county seat of Phillips County. Historically, it has been the state's most important Mississippi River port and one of the Arkansas Delta region's most significant transportation hubs. Like many river towns along the Mississippi, Helena has witnessed an economic decline in the 20th and 21st centuries. However, the community retains a great deal of its historical heritage.
As the site of one of only four automobile bridges that links Arkansas to points east, it will likely retain its importance as a regional transportation center.

Queen Mary’s Bath House in Edinburgh
This Little two- Storyed Building is traditionally associated with Mary Queen of Scots (1542 - 1587).
It was once attached to a boundary wall enclosing the king’s privy garden and served as a pavilion or summer house, where the royal family might relax whilst strolling in the garden whether it ever contained a bath is unknown.

Before & After of the Octagon House, in Cedar Point, NC.
The Octagon House was constructed in 1855 and sets another example of a historic home in Cedar Point that has survived the civil war and boasts much of its original Greek revival charm. The 60 acre waterfront estate is located less than 5 miles to the Crystal Coast beaches and offers a private, very secluded wedding venue with a gated entrance, private parking, bridal suite, and amazing water views of the White Oak River. Accommodates 500.
