Welp. It’s been about a week since we got back from tour, and we're already fu***ng dying get back out. An absolute blast despite a few hiccups, and overall went smooth as hell.
Big shoutout to Cotter & the boys in —they were a blast to be around and absolutely shredded every night. Couldn’t have asked for a better first tour crew. Yall are so goated.
This was our first run as a 5-piece—and we only had our first full band practice two days before the first show. Lol. HARD TO BELIEVE!
For those who don’t know, Cave Moth now lives as a collective art group somewhere between internet-born studio project and live unit with our members spread across the entire East Coast, with some contributors reaching inland toward Appalachia.
Over the past year, Kyle (drums) and Mike (guitar) hammered out the kinks with me (Quinn), flying down a few times to lock in with them. Dan (vocals) put in the work up in Massachusetts and made playing live a mothaf**kin breeze, while Fred (bass) has been a one-man machine—handling all the tracking for Paralytic Love and learning every new song before we even linked up in person. Wouldn’t be here without any of them. Love y’all so much.
AND SO, next month the Moth crew will be diving into production mode for our 2nd full-length, with a couple singles planned for release around New Year. We’re also eyeing a longer tour for next summer or winter. HELL, maybe even a few one-off shows here and there in between. Message us if you are interested in shows or touring together. 🤘 🎸 🥁
In the meantime over the next month, I’ll be putting together a tour diary showcasing all the dumb s**t we got into with some live footy. Then I'm taking the rest of the month to gear up a few final releases that have been banked:
● Our first full length, Ideological Terrorism, recorded with just me and Kyle and stitched together over the past 10 years. 18 minute single song split into 10 track of relentless drums and punishing riffs.
● A Combat Wounded Veteran-inspired emo violence EP
●A 7-song melodic grindcore EP that sounds like 2000s pop punk with blast beats
● a Mincecore EP that’s as fun as it is re****ed
