Computer models now strongly suggest at least 1" of snow will reach downtown D.C. and the close-in southern suburbs, so we’ve raised the forecast there from a dusting–1" to 1–2 inches. 🌨️

Otherwise, the overall forecast remains unchanged.

Timing: First flakes arrive between 2 and 6 a.m. from west to east.

Far NW suburbs: This one is not your storm if you’re hoping for accumulation.

Due to the current winter weather advisory and anticipated adverse weather conditions, Stafford Schools will be closed on Friday, December 5, 2025. All activities and events scheduled for Friday are cancelled.

We’re committed to keeping everyone safe during this weather event. Our crews have begun treating parking lots and sidewalks, focusing on ensuring our facilities and grounds are ready for students and staff as soon as possible. We will continue to monitor weather and road conditions and make a decision tomorrow afternoon regarding activities and events scheduled for Saturday.

Enjoy the extended weekend, stay warm, and stay safe. We look forward to seeing you again on Monday.

As a , we have the privilege of seeing some WILD things on a daily basis when it comes to house hunting and showing properties

This is on a whole other level 🤣😆

One of our Troopers conducted a traffic stop last night for switched plates on a different vehicle and quickly noticed something unusual. The vehicle’s “inspection” and “registration” on the windshield were not official at all. In fact they appeared to be hand drawn using a mix of pen, marker, and crayon with an impressive amount of confidence.

As a friendly reminder arts and crafts supplies do not count as valid documentation.

The driver was issued multiple tickets and the vehicle was taken off the road.
